Pray for our Elders Humility

Elders are called to be humble and gentle. (Ephesians 4:1-3)
Our elders set that example for themselves and also the church, as they eagerly serve God's children without "lording it over" anyone; the result is that the elders and our Bethany church will be blessed. What a special blessing is in store for these leaders who serve well - the crown of glory no less!
"Be shepherd of God's flock under your care, watching over them - not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away". (1 Peter 5:2-4)
